It’s getting that time of the year – the time of the moon, the wind, the water, the light, and the scent of fall in the air. Fall is my favorite time of year. I’ve always loved the holidays that begin when the air begins to chill. And Halloween is one of my favorites, so I wanted to look into the history a bit. The word “witch” comes from the Old English wicce, meaning “wise woman.” And what a compliment to receive such a moniker. I remember stories of my Grandmother stopping the car to pick roots and plants growing in the ditch bank so I guess I come from a long line of wise women. A great Feng Shui cure from our natural world is to place a red flowering plant outside the front door on the left (if you are facing the door) in order to welcome prosperity, opportunity, happiness, and health. Think of it as some witchy abundance and empowerment from one wise woman to another. Love and Light!
