Feng Shui holds a lot of druthers with honoring your ancestors. How to make your visit mean more??? And remember to share the Prosperity, Wealth & Abundance by gifting coins, bills, bonds, and stocks – any...

You Put the Tree in the Wood

Posted by on Nov 27, 2015 in 5 Elements, Cures, Energy Flow Ch’i, Family & Daily Cash Gua | 0 comments

Today is THE happiest day. OK, I say that (a LOT) but I really mean it. It’s the day of the year that I get to bring a TREE inside my house and not get looked at funny. This Fire Element girl LOVES her some Wood Element; after all, it is the Element that feeds the Fire in me. So today I celebrate with the addition of a beautiful Christmas tree strategically placed in my Family & Daily Cash Wood gua (I have two wood sculptures that hang out all year long) along the left center of your...

Mirror the Love and Gratitude

I am so grateful for the upcoming holidays; Thanksgiving is a special time of year for me. Not only was it my Dad’s favorite time of year (the whole family spent the week after Thanksgiving at the beach) but it’s also when my Dad passed away. We still keep our beach week but it’s not the same without Daddy around. So to warm our home with memories of dad, I bump up the holiday Feng Shui cures. Here’s one for the big day itself: place a flat mirror (any size) under the dining room table...

Posted by on Nov 14, 2015 in Cures, Family & Daily Cash Gua | 0 comments

Today is my childhood friend, Cathy’s, birthday. AND the beginning of one of the most spectacular reasons fall ROCKS. The Leonids meteor showers are here!!!! For the next week, we can view the meteor shower associated with the comet Tempel-Tuttle and have a little bit more to be grateful for. And what girl isn’t grateful for a shooting star to wish upon with a friend so faithful as you, Cathy? You have been a mentor, shoulder, teacher, and inspiration to me my whole life. More than...

Happy Halloween!!!! And a special day this day is. Not only is it Halloween, it’s also Samhain (SOW-in Irish pronunciation, the Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season), AND my beloved niece, Nicole’s, birthday. So here are my Feng Shui wishes for the most wonderful 14 year old I know. 1. Release your anger (Wood Element emotion) by seeing the humor (Wood Element emotion) of things. 2. Divide your sadness (Fire Element emotion) by feeling all the joy (Fire Element emotion)...

Apples and Grandma’s Love

National Apple Betty Day is today and reminds me of a recipe passed down from my Grandmother for Apple Pandowdy. It’s an easy recipe of apples cut into slices, cinnamon, and sugar placed in a buttered pan with a quick crust (flour, sugar, milk) poured over top. Simple. But so much love went into those simple deserts. I believe that’s part of the reason we never gained any weight – too much love blocked the fat receptors. LOL – I wish. But I do recommend the art of L-O-V-I-N-G...

Baby Brother Love

Today is my baby brother, Franklin’s, birthday. He’s not on Facebook so he won’t drive the 8 hours to come punch me in the arm for calling him my baby brother in public. He has always been that silly, funny, walking in my dad’s boots when they were bigger than he was, crazy, cute addition to a family of 4 girls. He had it bad, folks. He was subjected to some solid estrogen back in the day. But luckily, he was a little shadow to my Dad and went with him wherever he could tag along. He is...

Libra Love

The sun entered Libra September 23 and will run in the sign of “The Scales” through October 22. Libra is an air sign (Wood in Feng Shui) which reflects the energy of this Wood Element Sheep year. And with the great balancer of Libra working with the chi of a Wood, Sheep year (think family-oriented and growing people), this should be an amazing month for aligning money (Wood) & family (Sheep) with love and light. Libra’s ruling planet is Venus and is named after the Roman...

Back to School Feng Shui

Want some back to school Feng Shui advice? Here you go my peeps. First, look at your home and how it supports your life today. For the student, that means a calm, “yin” space to focus on homework. In Feng Shui, yin is the inward looking, quiet side of life while yang is all about ‘up’ energy and movement. The most successful study environments are quiet, hold few distractions, and are welcoming and comfortable. In a successful study space, all the supplies are at hand: a...
