Kid Space Feng Shui

Having trouble keeping the kids sane in their bedrooms? Are they playing when they should be sleeping? Jumping on your sofa instead of enjoying the great outdoors? Maybe you should reconsider their play space. In Feng Shui, we ask if a space is working for you in the moment? What do you need from the space? Has that changed from last year or last month, even? Feng Shui says that play spaces should be bright lights, open spaces, and loud; all yang characteristics. So make sure your lovely little ones has a space to let it all out. Jumping, shouting, laughing, and just ‘being a kid’ is, after all, their job at that age. Bright colors, ‘up’ energy (like is represented by columns and trees, our go-to Wood Element items), and all things loud are the order in a play space. And don’t forget the teens. Although they may want to sit, lounge, and look like they’re melting into the furniture, they also need to get things moving. Encourage balancing the ‘sitting down play time’ with some actively moving time. Love and Light.
