Cat Herding Feng Shui

Cat Herders Day is today and I’m sure you’re feeling like you are herding cats every, single time you go out shopping (or, if you are like me, every SINGLE time you try to get out of the driveway due to increased traffic). Well, today is YOUR day, bro! (Yes, that’s a nod to Twins going on there.) Here’s some Feng Shui kindness to help you get through the lines, attitudes, and outright rudeness that can come around this time of year. Step One: Breath. Yeah, yeah, I know; you’ve heard this one before. Well, it’s a good one, so just do it. Breath in through your nose, pulling your breath deep into your lungs, and deeper still until you’ve filled them both up and your tummy is pushed out. Release through you nose (yes, nose). This is a tip from my favorite Qi Gong instructor, Lea Williamson. Repeat. Then simply repeat. Then do it again.  Step Two: Repeat Step One. Twice. Then repeat Step Two again. You see the pattern, right? Simply breathe. Especially during this time, the winding down of Fall, the Metal Element Lungs need a work out to keep up with the energy that is spiraling upward to greet the impending Winter Solstice (on the 22nd). So breathe; deeply, meaningfully, completely, and whole-heartedly. And be at peace. Love and Light!
